Tooth splint

It is increasingly common with stress causing symptoms like headaches and pain in the teeth and/or jaws.

Diagnosis: The diagnosis is set by feeling your throat, neck, shoulder and jaw muscles to detect if they are unnaturally soar. Reoccurring headaches or grinded teeth may be other signs of teeth grinding or extrusion.

Treatment: usually information is enough for one to changes ones own situation. However some times a splint is necessary to over time diminish the tooth ache, decrease muscle symptoms and hopefully disappear. The headaches can also be positively affected.

A tooth splint is a specially made (by a dental technician) to affect the position and movements of the lower jaw in order to make the jaw muscles more relaxed.
