When caries reach through the tooth and roots it will create a cavity and result in discomfort and pain in your teeth, this may become permanent and lead to infections in your jaw bone called “Osteit”.

If this should occur your tooth must be treated. This is done in two steps where the tooth is temporarily filled with paste to kill all bacteria creating the infection, after a healing period this is replaced with a rubber material and a crown is placed on top of the original tooth.

Although the procedure is relatively expensive it is the most beneficial treatment, as you can keep the tooth and do not need to get implants.
